Day 1 – Edmonton International Airport, Alberta

(Wed) – Welcome to Edmonton, Alberta! Today will be a day of rest and relaxation as our fellow quilters arrive. We will all meet in the evening for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Quilt Canada Show – Day 1

(Thurs) – Today we will spend the day at the Quilt Canada Show! Explore all the show has to offer or sign up for a class or a lecture (classes will need to be prebooked)

Day 3 – Quilt Canada Show – Day 2

(Fri) – Today we will spend our second and last day at the Quilt Canada Show! Explore all the booths or sign up for a class or a lecture (classes will need to be prebooked).

Day 4 – The Journey to Jasper

(Sat) – We will start our journey through the west today as we depart for Jasper, a small town located in Canada’s Largest Rockies National Park. As we make our journey out of the city center of Edmonton, keep your eyes focused out your window as the scenery will start to change.  Enroute to Jasper we will be making our first stop at a Quilt Shop and enjoy lunch around town on your own. We visit the local museum to learn a little about Canadian Life at  most northern post. We will be staying just outside of Jasper in the town of Hinton. We will dine together this evening.

Day 5 –  Exploring the top of the Great Canadian Rockies

(Sun) – Today is an exciting day. We will drive into Jasper and will depart the bus at the Jasper Sky Tram, where we will ride to the top of the summit to the UNESCO Canadian Rockies World Heritage Site, Feel Free to explore the top of the Mountain and venture to the highest point where you will see breathtaking views of six (6) Canadian Rockie Mountain Ranges. We will be having Lunch atop the summit before making our journey down the mountain and to explore the rest, Jasper has to offer.

Day 6 – Canadian Rockies, Forest, Bears and Waterfalls! 

(Mon) – Today we will be departing Jasper and making our way through the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops BC. As we travel the most scenic highways in the country, we will be making stops along the way, for everyone to take in the scenery and try to capture some of its beauty in a picture or two. We will be stopping for Lunch at the River Safari where we will enjoy a guided nature tour on one of their 40 ft catamarans. This tour will take us through the mountains on the tranquil waters to seek out the wildlife of the Canadian Rockies. After our tour we will be dining at the Forest Table, which has been named number 3 of the most unique dining experiences in Canada. Once back on the bus we will continue our scenic journey through the Canadian Rockies to our destination of Kamloops.

Day 7 – One, Two ready Quilt Shop

(Tues) – Woo hoo time for our third quilt shop of the tour before we travel through the countryside. We will enjoy picnic lunch on a vineyard but before lunch we will take a look at the wine making process before tasting the delicious fruits of the Okanagan valley. Once our bellies are full we will board the bus to continue on to our next destination in Armstrong to visit our fourth quilt shop before settling in Kelowna for our overnight..

Day 8 – Depart for Vancouver

(Wed) – This morning you can explore Kelowna on your own before the Bus departs on our last leg of the tour to Vancouver. Kelowna is located in the Okanagan Valley and is surrounded by provincial parks, pine forest, vineyards, orchards and mountains. One hidden gem we recommend visiting while in Kelowna is the Kasugai Gardens, these gardens were built in 1987 and represent the friendship and union between Kelowna and its sister city in Kasuagi, Japan. The park is filled with beautiful stone lanterns, pathways, and waterfalls, all things found in a traditional Japanese garden.

We will make our way to our unique lunch stop where we will grab a bite to eat and continue our journey to our next quilt shop before our final destination of Vancouver.

Day 9 – Vancouver

(Thurs) – Today we will be joined by a tour guide who will take us through downtown Vancouver and into Stanley Park. We will end our tour with an Indigenous Tea ceremony. The bus will pick us up and take us to the Granville Market, where we will visit our final quilt shop and explore all the shops before we head back to the hotel for our Farewell Dinner.

Day 10 – Everyone Fly’s home 

We had an amazing time, but it’s time to say goodbye for now until next time. Have a safe flight home.
