Day 2 – Let the Fun begin!
(Mon) – We will begin our tour in the beautiful town of Perth, Ontario, a charming historic community with so much to see and do. Quilters will be delighted to know there are two quilt shops to explore—one located right in town and another just on the outskirts.
Our first stop should be the Visitor Centre, where you can pick up a town map and chat with the friendly, knowledgeable staff who are justifiably proud of their town. Perth offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, making it easy to find the perfect spot for lunch.
Be sure to visit the tribute statue of Big Ben, the legendary world-champion show jumping horse who was once considered too large to fly. Big Ben is one of only two horses inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace—whether that means shopping, sightseeing, relaxing, or exploring Perth’s historic streets and waterways. In the evening, you might choose to enjoy dinner at Fiddlesticks, a local favourite.

We’ll begin the day with a workshop and museum tour at Albert Gilles Cuivres d’Art, where you’ll create your own copper work of art to take home, using a variety of traditional techniques. Next, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, a special place known for prayer and miracles. Following the tour, we’ll visit one of Québec’s must-see attractions—Montmorency Falls. (Sun) – Today we will enjoy our time on a guided tour of our Capital City, including our Parliament Buildings, and the ByWard Market. Lieutenant Colonel John By arrived in Canada from England in 1827 to build the Rideau Canal. In the same year, Colonel By founded Bytown, which had two villages. Later in the afternoon, we’ll head to the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, where we’ll learn the stories of mill workers, labour history, and the region’s rich textile industry. The museum is located in the annex of the former Rosamond Woolen Company, constructed in 1867 and now designated a National Historic Site of Canada.
