Day 1 – St John’s, Newfoundland
(Tues) – Today will be a day of rest and relaxation as we greet fellow quilters as they arrive. We will all meet in the evening for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Signal Hill & Quidi Vidi Village
(Wed) – We will start the tour with a look at the historical city of St. John’s, the oldest and most easterly city in North America. We will travel up to Signal Hill through the Battery area and tiny jellybean coloured houses to the unmistakable Cabot Tower. From there, we will wind our way to the small village within the city called Quidi Vidi. A small fishing village and place where local artisans create and sell their crafts. After Lunch we will visit our first quilting destination.

Day 3 – Show and Share Newfoundland Style!
(Thurs) – This morning we leave St. John’s and head to our second quilt shop, where we will be treated to a trunk show and book signing by none other than the creators of The Quilted Stash. We will have plenty of time to shop this lovely store and explore this coastal area. Lots of picture taking opportunities. In the afternoon, we will have lunch on your own and head onto Clarenville where we will be staying the next couple of nights. After dinner be ready to laugh and have lots of fun becoming an Honorary Newfoundlander, at our very own Screeching In Party.

Day 4 – Historic Towns of Trinity & Bonavista
(Fri) – A couple of stops at two very famous historical places, Trinity and Bonavista will start our day. Once there, we will enjoy going back in time visiting the historical buildings, lighthouse and hear stories about the hard way of life and tragic shipwrecks. We may even get a chance to see Puffins and Whales.

Day 5 – Head to Gander
(Sat) – Our day starts with a scenic drive through Terra Nova National Park as we head toward Gander, Newfoundland. This afternoon we will do a little fabric, craft and gift shopping before heading over to the Great Atlantic Aviation Centre where items from 911 can be seen and in the evening enjoy some down time from our busy schedule.

Day 6 – A Day in Twillingate
(Sun) – Lets head north to Twillingate where we will visit the Prime Berth Fishery & Heritage Centre, Long Point Lighthouse, have lunch at our friends, Gillian and Karen’s house and finish the day sipping on some Auk Island wine as we watch icebergs floating by.

Day 7 – Head to Springdale
(Mon) – We will continue our journey to the other side of the island making several stops along the way to fondle and excite ourselves over, can I say the “F” word. “FABRIC”

Day 8 – UNESCO Gros Morne National Park
(Tues) – Lots of excitement today as we visit the beautiful areas of Gros Morne National Park. A guide will help us explore the park and visit the Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse and the Green Point Geological site. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride with live commentary of the highlights of the geological wonders, the rich cultural history and the diversity of this fascinating bay, situated in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, a “UNESCO” World Heritage Site. After a busy day, it will be nice to head back to hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 9 – Corner Brook & Stephenville
(Wed) – Today, we will visit Captain James Cook National Site overlooking Corner Brook and the Bay of Islands before we visit our last quilt shop. After lunch we will head towards Port Au Port but not without concluding our tour with a visit to Our Lady of Mercy Church and Museum. Once in Deer Lake, the trip would not be complete without a Farewell Dinner, where we can talk and laugh about our adventures with new friends.

Day 10 – Say Good bye
(Thurs) – After a fabulous 10 days, it will be time to share breakfast together one last time before we leave Newfoundland to return home and tell others of our wild adventures.
