Day 1 – Arrival Day, Kansas City Airport, Missouri
(Mon) – Today will be a day of rest and relaxation as we greet fellow quilters as they fly into Kansas City. We will all meet in the evening for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 – “We are not in Kansas anymore”
(Tues) – After breakfast, we will board our bus and start to make our way to Branson. Our first stop will be our first quilt shop. A family business, 10,000 sq ft with a huge selection of fabrics, batting, notions, books/pattern and more! We will stop for lunch and then proceed to yet another quilt shop, a favourite of many, who say it is “like a Quilt Show Every Day”. So much fun! And after all this we will check into our hotel to relax and have the evening to yourselves. Time to rest up for a busy day at the show.

Day 3 – Yahoo! A Fabulous Quilt Show – Branson Quilt Show
(Wed) – The morning will start with a short drive to the Branson Convention Center, where we will be there for the opening, on the first day of the Branson Quilt Show, Here you will have a full day, on your own to explore and shop this wonderful exhibition of Quilts. Be sure not to miss out on the Merchant Mall. Lots of goodies await. Later in the day, we will head back to our hotel to rest our feet after a long day of walking and shopping before we go out to an evening dinner theatre show for some food and fun entertainment.

Day 4 – Headed to Hannibal
(Thurs) – After a great day at the Branson Quilt Show, we will start the adventure by visiting another fabulous quilt shop, finding more goodies & fabric missed from the day before. After a delicious lunch, we will settle in for a drive through the countryside before arriving in Hannibal, Missouri

Day 5 – Historic Town and Home of Mark Twain
(Fri) – A stop, at a very famous writers’ boyhood home and museum, Mark Twain, will be the start to our day. Going at your own pace through the home and museum, you will discover how a young boy growing up in small village, became one of the world’s most beloved authors. Once we have learned all we can about Mark Twain, we will head down main street to have lunch and shop all the little shops in between our next two quilt shops, at either end of the street. Later in the afternoon, we board the bus to head to our next hotel.

Day 6 – “Disneyland of Quilting” – Missouri Star
(Sat) – Well today is the day you have all been waiting for, a place that has been dubbed the “Disneyland of Quilting” – Missouri Star. We will arrive at opening time, where you will have the full day to enjoy the different quilt shops and all that Hamilton, Missouri has to offer. You will recieve a ticket top the Quilt Museum, so you may visit it at any time during your day. Lunch will be on your own. At the end of a long and busy day, we will head back to the hotel to relax and share all our findings.

Day 7 – Iowa, Here we come!
(Sun) – Once we have boarded the bus, we will take off and head to the Amish Country Store and Bakery. And just like that we are in Iowa. Browse around and find something delicious for lunch before we head onto our next quilt shop that coincidentally is right next door to the Iowa Quilt Museum. We will visit the Iowa Quilt Museum first, enjoying their motto “Where we Honor, Inspire and Energize the Quilting Legacy”. Afterwards we will pop next door to a beautiful quilt shop to find more “yummy fabric” for more “yummy” projects before heading back to Kansas City.

Day 8 – Time to start new projects
(Wed) – After visiting, one large quilt show, 2 quilt museums, the “Disneyland of Quilting” Missouri Star and 6 other quilt shops, a lot of wonderful projects will be in the works. Enjoy your breakfast and last goodbyes before taking the shuttle to the airport and heading on your journey home.
