Join us as we travel through the New England States of Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and New York visiting well known shops like “Keepsake Quilting” and “Calico Gals”, Home of the Row by Row Experience and many more.

Day 1 – Syracuse, New York

(Fri) – Today will be a day of rest and relaxation as we greet fellow quilters as they arrive. We will all meet in the evening for a welcome dinner.

Day 2 – “Calico Gals ” Home of the Row By Row Experience, New York

(Sat) – Some retail therapy will start the tour off on the right foot. We will visit 2 quilt shops today, one being the “Calico Gals” where the ever so popular Row By Row Experience was conceived.

Day 3 – Lake George Boat Cruise, Vermont

(Sun) – Rise and shine for an early start as we wind through the countryside to the shores of Lake George. We will board and enjoy a luncheon cruise on the Lac du Saint Sacrement while viewing the changing hillsides of beautiful Vermont.

Day 4 – Woodstock, Vermont & Canterbury Shaker Village, New Hampshire

(Mon) – Woodstock, Vermont is a beautiful, historic, turn of the century town, in the Green Mountains of Windsor County. With its three covered bridges, fabulous restaurants, charming boutiques and shops, it waits for us to explore. We will spend the morning in Woodstock before we head onto New Hampshire’s Canterbury Shaker Village. Canterbury Shaker Village is one of the most intact and authentic surviving Shaker community sites, and has been declared a National Historic Landmark. Here you can enjoy lunch and a trip back in time. Later we will head to the coast of Maine where we will spend the next three days and nights.

Day 5 – New England Museum

(Tues) – This morning be prepared to be blown away by the beauty of the area’s finest quilts as we visit The New England Quilt Museum. The afternoon we will spend shopping at a local quilt shop. Such excitement. After a busy day with lots of walking, it will be nice to head back to hotel and enjoy a typical Maine Lobster Bake Dinner.

Day 6 – Oganquit, Maine

(Wed) – Travel and spend half a day and lunch in the quaint resort town of Oganquit. The word “Oganquit” means “beautiful place by the sea” and that it is. Take your time to stroll and explore artisan shops, outdoor cafes and fun seaside pleasures.

Day 7 – Keepsake Quilting, New Hampshire

(Thurs) – Today we will leave the Maine Atlantic Coast behind and head inland to the ever so popular quilt store, “Keepsake Quilting”. With thousands of bolts of fabric and lots of spectacular quilts to look at, you will feel like you are in a quilters heaven. Our goodies in hand, we will continue to North Conway where we will board the Conway Scenic Rail for an authentic railroad experience on vintage rail cars as we travel over the rivers and through the woods, admiring the beautiful fall New England countryside.

Day 8 – Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks, Vermont

(Fri) – Beauty surrounds us this morning as we travel through the White Mountain Region heading northeast where we will make a stop at a local quilt shop before heading onto one of the sweetest places in Vermont, The Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Here we will see how maple syrup is produced and even have a tasty treat to sample.

Day 9 – Shelburne Museum, Vermont

(Sat) – One of the most spectacular places to visit and cannot be missed is the Shelburne Museum. We will try to spend as much time as possible here as there is a lot to see. Spread over 45 acres, it boasts to have a quilt collection that is considered to be the largest in the United States. Following our time there, we will head back to Syracuse but the trip would not be complete without a Farewell Dinner, where we can talk and laugh about our adventures with new friends.
